BETCRIS TAPS IGAMING INDUSTRY EXPERT AS ITS NEW CASINO DIRECTOR

Betcris continues to expand and, at the same time, refine its iGaming and sports betting operations. To assist with those goals, the company is turning to an industry veteran to provide expert guidance. The gaming operator has hired Lucas Lebleu to be its new Casino Director.

Lebleu has been involved in the iGaming industry for over 25 years. He spent the last 12 in Europe, working in both the B2C and B2B segments. During that time, he worked for names like William Hill, where he spent four years, NetEnt and GiG. Most recently, Lebleu served as the Senior Sales Director for Skywind Group.

Now, he is moving back to Costa Rica, where he started his iGaming carrier in 1997. It was there where he spent most of his life before relocating to Spain to work in Gibraltar in 2009. Betcris is optimistic that his proven track record and strong commercial focus will prove to be significant assets as the company continues to grow.

Lucas said of joining Betcris, “I’m very excited about this opportunity; I’ve known Betcris since I started to work in Costa Rica a quarter of a century ago, and I’m pleased to have reached an agreement with Betcris. In my opinion is one of the most respected brands in Latin America, with a retail and online presence in the majority of the LatAm countries.

“I want to thank specifically JD, Fernando Garita, Gabriel Nuñez and Carlos Soto, but also Mauricio Delgado and the HR team who have been extra helpful to get me up to speed,” he added.

As the casino director, Lebleu will be responsible for the implementation of the operator’s casino strategy, including operation and promotion activities. He will also oversee tactical changes in operations and promotions to reach the casino revenue targets.

In addition, Lebleu will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of Betcris’s casino activity. This includes implementing and optimizing processes to test game content and core casino app functions, optimization of content and ensuring that creative design messages and promotions reflect its core values.
