Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) continues to add highly specialized expertise to its Client Solutions Team with the recent hiring of widely known Tribal gaming regulator Thorsten Toms as a Client Solutions Executive.

Most recently, Toms was the Director of Gaming Administration for the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission, where he oversaw the audit, licensing, and information technology departments. During his tenure with Gun Lake, he also served as interim Executive Director. His extensive technical background and experience in developing automated systems to make regulatory processes more efficient will be of immense value to GLI’s clients. His experience in developing and conducting compliance audits, most recently involving iGaming and sports betting, will grow GLI’s team of field services specialists.

“We are grateful to have Thorsten join the award-winning GLI Client Solutions team,” said Senior Vice President of Government Relations and General Counsel Kevin Mullally. “His many skills, and extensive regulatory and information technology background will assist GLI’s clients with land-based and online gaming, sports betting, lottery, regulatory, and technology needs. As a former regulator and longtime IT professional, he has presented and trained on a variety of products, and his extensive industry knowledge and experience as a trainer will augment our talented lineup of GLI University® faculty.”

“Thorsten is well known in the Tribal regulatory community and has more than a decade of experience assisting and training regulators,” said GLI Client Solutions Team Manager Kelly Myers. “He has a deep understanding of information technology and a gift for automating systems. He is highly skilled at clearly communicating technical information to a non-technical audience, and we are excited to have him join our diverse and talented team.”

Toms is based in Michigan and is available to help GLI’s clients in North America and across the globe to capitalize on GLI’s many tools and services.
