TG Lab powers Stake’s expansion into Colombia

Provider makes its LatAm debut with leading betting brand using its state-of-the-art modular iGaming and sports betting platform to enter regulated market

Stake, one of the world’s leading crypto casinos and sportsbooks, has entered the locally regulated Colombian market powered by the cutting-edge platform provider, TG Lab.

The operator has secured the necessary licence and approvals to make its debut in Colombia via its acquisition of Betfair Colombia earlier in the year and launched its brand and online casino/sportsbook experience to players under the Stake.com.co domain.

Stake will use TG Lab’s agile, modular and scalable iGaming and sportsbook platform, as well as its customisable front-end solution and bespoke native mobile app, to deliver a superior experience to players in Colombia as part of its ambitions to become the leading gambling brand in the country.

TG Lab had been assessing the fast-growing Latin American market for some time and was waiting to form a partnership with a tier one operator before making its debut. Stake is the perfect partner in that regard, with TG Lab now set to make big moves in the region.

This includes plans to establish a dedicated LatAm office from which it will look to partner with additional operators, helping them deploy their online casinos and sportsbooks in regulated markets across the region throughout 2024 and beyond.

The TG Lab platform has been designed to allow operators to take control of the technology and accelerate product innovation, allowing them to cut down on operational costs. This is achieved through advanced automation that replaces a great number of manual processes and activities.

Ugnius Simelionis, TG Lab Chief Executive Officer, said: “Stake is one of the largest gaming operators in the world and we are proud to have been trusted to provide our platform and mobile app solutions for its move into Colombia.

“With our technology powering its online casino and sportsbook and mobile app, and its position as a leading brand, Stake has what it takes to become a true market leader in Colombia and we are delighted to be playing a part in its journey.

“The partnership also marks our arrival in Latin America, a region where we have big plans to become the go-to platform provider for operators looking to deliver the best online casino and sports betting experience to players in regulated markets.”

Brais Pena CSO at Stake, added: “We have ambitious international expansion plans and have identified the regulated Colombian market as having huge potential for Stake. Of course, we need to enter the market with a strong online casino and sports betting experience, and this meant identifying a premium tech partner.

“In TG Lab we have a proven platform and app provider that knows exactly what it takes to deliver a compelling player experience. This, combined with our brand, puts us on a sure path to success in Colombia.”
