RED KNOT COMMUNICATIONS ANNOUNCES ASHLEY DABB AS HEAD OF US OPERATIONS

Experienced sports PR and communications executive joins Red Knot as a partner, building U.S. office to service clients with North American and Latin American sports, sports betting and gaming interests
Red Knot Communications has announced the appointment of sports communication and marketing expert Ashley Dabb as Head of U.S. Operations. Dabb brings over a decade of sports PR and marketing experience to Red Knot Communications including eight years with MLS team the Philadelphia Union where she was Vice President, Marketing & Communications; three years as the Chief Marketing Officer with the National Lacrosse League; and two years running communications for the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Dabb most recently was with Odds On Compliance spearheading their marketing and communications efforts.

Dabb was previously a Visiting Sports Marketing Professor at Saint Josephâs University where she taught sports marketing, esports marketing to graduate and undergraduate students, and worked with industry professionals to place Saint Josephâs Universityâs best and brightest as student interns. Prior to joining Saint Josephâs, Dabb served as the Senior Communications Manager for the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and as the Chief Marketing Officer for the National Lacrosse League (NLL). She joined the NLL after nearly a decade with the Philadelphia Union, Major League Soccerâs 16th franchise, where she served as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
A graduate of Saint Josephâs University (B.S.), Neumann University (M.S.), and Rutgers Law School (J.D.), Dabb has been recognized for her outstanding achievements as a recipient of the Leaders 40 Under 40 Marketing and Communications award in 2017, and in 2018 was named on the Forbes list of Women to Watch and the Distinguished Alumni Award from Neumann University.

Woodbine partners with 1/ST for Pegasus World Cup Filly & Mare Turf Qualifier

Woodbine Entertainment has announced a partnership with 1/ST that will see the bet365 Dance Smartly Stakes (G2) become a qualifying race for the Pegasus World Cup Filly & Mare Turf Invitational Stakes (G2).
The winner of this yearâs $200,000 bet365 Dance Smartly Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack will receive an automatic invitation to the 2026 $500,000 Pegasus World Cup Filly & Mare Turf at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
The Dance Smartly, to be held on Saturday, October 4 at Woodbine, will be contested at 1 1/16 miles on the bet365 Inner Turf Course and is part of a stacked card headlined by the returning $750,000 Canadian International (G1).

The Pegasus World Cup debuted in 2017 as part of 1/STâs mission to excite, energize and modernize the sport of racing for a new generation of fans and to provide lucrative opportunities for Thoroughbred owners and trainers. The event annually attracts the sportâs biggest names and is viewed globally.
