Scientific Games Will Continue to Bring Instant Game Entertainment to Lottery Players in El Salvador

Scientific Games won a competitive public tender to serve as the exclusive instant game provider to Lotería Nacional de Beneficencia de El Salvador, the National Lottery of El Salvador. The company has helped the Lottery significantly grow its instant game sales since 2017 with proceeds benefitting health, education, and social programs in the Central American country.
“We appreciate Scientific Games’ support to improve our instant lottery business, helping us grow 40% last year and achieving an accumulated growth of nearly 400% in the last five years. We look forward to continuing game portfolio innovation for the benefit of charitable causes in El Salvador,” Javier Milian, President of the National Lottery of El Salvador, said.
Milian, who also serves as president of CIBELAE, the industry association serving Latin American lotteries, credited the company’s recommended improvements to record-breaking 2022 sales with the instant game category outperforming the traditional lottery in profitability. Popular instant games with El Salvador players include Mascotas, Safari, Dinero al Instante, and Tragamonedas.
Under the new contract, Scientific Games experts will develop high-performance products for the National Lottery of El Salvador’s instant game portfolio with data-driven services including game planning and design. Games are produced at the company’s facility in Santiago, Chile, one of five major production facilities globally.

Continent 8 Technologies expands with strategic sales professionals focusing on South/Central American markets

Sebastian Fernandez and Luana Monje join the global digital infrastructure provider to drive further strategic efforts in the region
Continent 8 Technologies continues to grow its global commercial team following the appointment of Sebastian Fernandez and Luana Monje as Sales Executives.
Sebastian will be based out of Buenos Aires in Argentina and joins Continent 8 from IT giant Dell Technologies, where he spent more than 12 years across several roles including a Senior Systems Engineer and most recently Account Executive.
Luana comes to Continent 8 from AWS (Amazon Web Services) where she held the role of Demand Generation Representative. Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, she has a deep understanding of the region which has just passed legislation to legalise online sports betting and casino.
Both Sebastian and Luana will be responsible for nurturing relationships with Continent 8’s existing Latin American customers, helping them to maximise the potential of its solutions and services from cloud hosting and connectivity to layered cybersecurity.
They will also support new customers looking to make a move in the region, particularly Brazil which is expected to generate approximately $2.6bn per year (gross gaming revenue) by 2026 according to KPMG. Continent 8 will be live in Brazil to support customers with its full suite of solutions in the coming months.
