Iowa to Launch Sports Betting Next Month

 

The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC) has reported that they’re considering August 15 as the launching date for sports betting activity in the state. Daily fantasy sports (DFS) will also be allowed under this launch.

IRGC Administrator Brian Ohorilko has confirmed that 18 of the state’s 19 casinos have already applied for licenses that will allow them to offer sports betting at their facilities.
