Checkd Group Launches New FlashPicks Sports Betting App Across North America

Innovative tool integrates major operators including FanDuel and DraftKings
Fast-growing iGaming business Checkd Group has launched its new FlashPicks app across North America, providing its highly engaged sports betting community with technology that allows users to create and track informed betting selections through their smartphones.
The user-friendly app, developed in-house by the group’s Checkd Dev division, is packed with functionality and builds on the successful launch of the FlashPicks brand, which has generated over 900,000 unique visitors, 2.5 million sessions and an average of over 10 million organic social media impressions per month in the 14 months since launch.
Targeting the relatively untapped North American casual sports betting market, the FlashPicks app is based on the model of the highly successful Betting Hub in the United Kingdom and features pre-match betting odds from the most high-profile North American sportsbooks.
FanDuel, DraftKings, Caesars, bet365, PointsBet and BetMGM are all incorporated within the app with users able to select the best available odds and lines for their chosen selections. Users can subscribe to real-time notifications for match updates across all the major leagues including NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL.
Checkd Group’s Smart Picks tool is also included in the app’s functionality. Based around Smart Acca technology, which has proven to be popular with United Kingdom-based bettors within the Betting Hub app, Smart Picks utilizes historical statistics and betting data to indicate which teams have been performing well, allowing users to make more informed betting decisions. Moneyline, spread and total markets are included, while future iterations will also incorporate player props markets.
Sports bettors in Ontario and all United States states where online sports betting is currently regulated can now download the FlashPicks app, which also highlights which sign-up offers are available from bookmakers in their local state or province.
“FlashPicks has been a big success for us and the logical next step in its journey was to create an app in the style of the award-winning Betting Hub in the United Kingdom so that we can tap into the vast potential of the casual sports betting market in North America,” the Checkd Dev Managing Director, Adam Patton, said. “The FlashPicks app provides users with all the information they need to make knowledgeable, informed selections and with a host of leading operators on board we believe it will in time have a major impact on the overall sports betting ecosystem.”
“We are making great progress across North America, which contains a fast-growing sports betting market that we consider to be very important strategically,” Head of US Operations for Checkd Group, Callum Broxton, said. “Following the launch of the FlashPicks brand last year, we have seen its profile increase month by month and that will only continue as more states and provinces adopt regulation. The launch of the FlashPicks app is a major landmark for us and it’s a development we are all very excited about.”
