Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to Hold Public Input Hearing in Caernarvon Township on March 4th for Penn National’s Category 4 Casino Application in Berks County
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced today that it will hold a public input hearing on Monday, March 4, 2019 in the Caernarvon Township Building to collect testimony on the Category 4 casino application submitted by Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, LLC (Penn National).
The township building is located at 3307 Main Street, Morgantown, PA 19543. The hearing begins at 4:00 p.m. in the Social Hall with the entrance in the rear of the building.
The purpose of the hearing which, per provisions of the Gaming Act must be held within the local municipality in which the proposed casino would be located, is to both provide a forum for individuals to voice their support or opposition to the proposed casino and to permit those persons with an interest in the applicant’s proposal to learn more about the project.
The Board also announced that it has begun accepting requests today from citizens, public officials and community groups who wish to provide oral or written testimony regarding the proposed casino. Those wishing to present testimony at the public input hearing must register prior to the hearing by visiting the Board’s website, www.gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov, and click the “Penn National Casino Berks Public Input Hearing” link under the QuickLinks section of the home page.
The deadline for registration to speak is noon on Friday, March 1, 2019. A listing of all government officials, community groups and individuals who have registered to speak will be posted on the Board’s web site one week prior to the hearing and updated daily.
Those who cannot attend the public hearing but would like to place written comments into the record can do so prior to the hearing date through the same web site link, by e-mail to [email protected], or by fax to 717-265-7416. All information received by the Board during these proceedings, either in oral or written form, will be included in the record upon which the Board will grant or deny a license.
A separate public hearing will be held at a later date in Harrisburg where Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association representatives will offer oral arguments and Board members can ask additional questions prior to a licensing decision.

Home to downtown Las Vegas’ only bingo room, the Plaza Hotel & Casino is offering Clark County, Nevada residents who register to play in next week’s Super Bingo tournament the opportunity to bring a friend for free.
Happening Monday, May 6 through Wednesday, May 8 in the Plaza’s expansive ballroom, Super Bingo is expected to draw nearly 1,000 people from the local Las Vegas valley and across the country and Canada for the opportunity to win big playing fun-filled games of bingo over two days, with a $50,000 super coverall both days while socializing with like-minded bingo players.
Bingo-only registration is $160 per person, and Clark County residents who register can bring a friend for free. Registration is available online at https://www.plazahotelcasino.com/bingo/super-bingo-registration/. Hotel-and-bingo packages start at $300 for a four-night stay with no resort fee.
All Super Bingo players receive one 6-on paper pack for both days, two daubers, free drinks via an open bar at all sessions, boxed lunch both days, and $10 in free slot play after the first day’s session.
The Plaza’s Bingo room offers six daily bingo sessions at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. and is located on the 3rd floor. By parking on the third floor of the Plaza’s self-parking garage, guests have convenient and direct access to the Plaza’s bingo room and parking is validated for bingo players.

Kambi Group plc extends Mohegan partnership with on-property sports betting agreement in Pennsylvania
Kambi Group plc (“Kambi”), the world’s trusted sports betting partner, has agreed a long-term on-property sportsbook partnership with Mohegan to provide its award-winning sportsbook at two retail locations in the state of Pennsylvania.
The partnership will see Mohegan utilise Kambi’s cutting-edge retail sportsbook offering across more than 20 kiosks in sportsbook locations at Mohegan Pennsylvania and Mohegan Pennsylvania at Lehigh Valley Race and Sportsbook.
