World’s best Rocket League players set to descend on Boston for the first RLCS Major of the year

Epic Games and BLAST have revealed today that the first Major of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2026 season will take place in Boston, Massachusetts, from February 19 – February 22.

The final two days of competition will be hosted live at the Agganis Arena, where thousands of Rocket League fans will witness the world’s best teams battle it out for a share of the $354,000 prize pool and the first title of the season.

This announcement follows the reveal of the RLCS 2026 roadmap at the World Championship in Lyon in September, which features a Kickoff LAN in Copenhagen this December.

Teams from across the globe will battle through online qualifiers and regional events to secure their spot at the Boston Major. Results from Major 1 will also contribute to qualification points toward Major 2 and ultimately the 2026 Rocket League World Championship.

The Agganis Arena, located on the campus of Boston University, is one of the city’s premier event venues, known for hosting top-tier sports and live entertainment. RLCS previously visited the arena for the Spring Major in 2023, which saw Team Vitality lift the trophy, after a dominant display from the French side. Now, the competition returns to Boston for another unforgettable showdown in front of a passionate local fanbase.

The Boston Major kicks off a new year and a clean slate for teams and players, marking the start of another thrilling Rocket League Esports season. With new rosters and renewed rivalries, Boston sets the stage for an unforgettable year on the road to the 2026 World Championship.
