MGCB: iGaming, sports betting operators report $352.3M in October revenue

Michigan’s commercial and tribal internet gaming operators reported a combined total of $352.3 million in gross receipts from internet gaming (iGaming) and internet sports betting for October. This reflects a 16.4% increase compared to September.

Monthly Gross Receipts
iGaming gross receipts for October totaled $278.5 million, which is the highest iGaming gross receipts reported to date. The previous high was achieved in August 2025, when the iGaming gross receipts were $263.3 million. Gross sports betting receipts were $73.8 million, up from $43.6 million recorded in the previous month.

Monthly Adjusted Gross Receipts
Combined adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for iGaming and internet sports betting reached $310.9 million in October. Of that total, $261.7 million came from iGaming, and $49.2 million came from internet sports betting. This marks a 7.5% increase in iGaming AGR and a $36.0 million increase in sports betting AGR compared to September. Year-over-year, iGaming AGR rose 31.8%, while sports betting AGR increased by $39.4 million compared to October 2024.

Monthly Handle
The total internet sports betting handle was $605.9 million in October, a 15.6% increase from the $524.3 million recorded in September.

Monthly State Taxes and Payments
Operators reported submitting $58.0 million in state taxes and payments in October, including:

  • iGaming taxes and fees: $54.6 million
  • Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $3.4 million


Monthly City of Detroit Taxes and Payments
Detroit’s three commercial casinos reported $15.0 million in wagering taxes and municipal services fees paid to the City of Detroit in October, including:

  • iGaming taxes and fees: $14.0 million
  • Internet sports betting taxes and fees: $1.0 million


Monthly Tribal Operator Payments
Tribal operators reported $6.5 million in payments made to their respective governing bodies in October.

As of October 2025, 15 commercial and tribal operators have been authorized to offer iGaming and/or internet sports betting in Michigan. Currently, 11 operators offer internet sports betting, and 14 offer iGaming.
