Emerald Queen Casino & Hotel Appoints Theresa Minarik as Chief Marketing Officer

Emerald Queen Casino & Hotel (EQC), owned and operated by the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, has appointed Theresa Minarik as Chief Marketing Officer. Minarik will lead marketing strategy and execution across EQC’s properties, driving performance, loyalty, and brand growth for one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier gaming destinations.

“We are happy to welcome Theresa to the EQC leadership team,” said Yale Rowe, CEO of EQC. “Her proven ability to combine creativity with analytics, her experience with large-scale campaigns, and her understanding of the tribal gaming landscape make her an exceptional fit. She will play a pivotal role in shaping EQC’s future.”

As CMO, Minarik will oversee a team of marketing professionals focused on elevating the guest experience across digital, traditional, and on-property channels. She will guide strategic initiatives in player development, brand storytelling, social and paid media, and marketing technology, ensuring EQC remains competitive in an evolving marketplace.

Emerald Queen Casino is at such a pivotal moment, and I am excited to take the brand they have built to the next level,” said Minarik. “The Tribe’s commitment to the local community, to Seattle, and to innovation and hospitality sets EQC apart, and I look forward to building campaigns and experiences that deepen guest loyalty and highlight EQC as the entertainment and gaming leader in the region.”

Minarik is recognized for her ability to energize teams and deliver measurable results through data-driven, omni-channel marketing. She previously served as Director of Marketing at The Point Casino & Hotel and Little Creek Casino Resort, where she introduced modern digital platforms, optimized reinvestment strategies, and launched high-impact promotional campaigns. Earlier in her career, she managed integrated campaigns for Fortune 100 brands including Boeing, UPS, AT&T, LEGO, and American Girl, where she mastered the balance of brand storytelling, creative excellence, and performance.
