SBC Summit Rio to welcome EDM legend Afrojack as INFINITY headliner, supported by Brazil’s Dubdogz

SBC will light up Rio de Janeiro with the highly anticipated INFINITY Rio party, happening on February 27th at the 2025 edition of SBC Summit Rio.
With Grammy award-winning producer Afrojack at the helm and Brazilian house duo Dubdogz bringing their signature energy, this electrifying event promises an unforgettable night of music and excitement for the event attendees.
“INFINITY was born in Lisbon, where we kicked off our first EDM festival with top-tier DJs; Don Diablo, Miss Monique, and Darude. Now, we’re bringing that momentum to Rio with INFINITY Rio, taking things to a whole new level,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & Founder of SBC.
In the gaming industry, connections are everything, and INFINITY Rio will provide a unique platform to meet the game-changers driving progress in Brazil. As an event organizer, SBC is known for elevating attendee experiences with VIP treatment, combining business opportunities with world-class networking. By integrating music and entertainment—longtime inspirations for gaming—into the closing party, SBC will offer an event finale that truly captures the energy of the gaming world.
EDM icon Afrojack rose to stardom with “Take Over Control,” becoming a key figure in the genre. Known for collaborations with Beyoncé, Pitbull, and Will.i.am, his accolades include spots on Rolling Stone’s “50 Most Important People in EDM” and Forbes’ “30 Under 30.” Moreover, the DJ’s 2020 track “All Night” climbed to the top of US dance radio charts and earned over 40 million streams, cementing his reputation as an EDM powerhouse.
Sojmark commented: “Having Afrojack headlining the first INFINITY Rio really shows just how massive SBC Summit Rio is going to be. Our delegates are in for an EDM festival experience that mixes world-class entertainment with top-tier networking.
“To give it that special Brazilian vibe, we’re also bringing in Dubdogz, an incredible homegrown duo that is taking the global scene by storm. We couldn’t miss the chance to showcase Brazil’s own talent at an event that’s all about Brazil!”
Dubdogz, Brazil’s twin sensations Lucas and Marcos Ruback are known for their dynamic blend of Brazilian Bass and House, chart-topping hits and a devoted fanbase. Among the few Brazilian acts on the “DJ Mag Top 100,” they’ve performed at iconic stages like Tomorrowland, EDC, and Ushuaïa Ibiza. Their track “Infinity,” a collaboration with Bhaskar, achieved Double Platinum status and surpassed 126 million Spotify streams.
The Riocentro Super Stage, a fresh addition to SBC Summit Rio, will shed its conference atmosphere to host the party, with Afrojack and Dubdogz setting the tone for the Rio de Janeiro Carnival, starting the next day on the 28th of February.
“We’ve timed SBC Summit Rio 2025 perfectly so attendees can dive into business and then roll straight into the Carnival. With Afrojack and Dubdogz lighting up the stage, the Carnival kickoff is going to be epic,” Sojmark added.
In October, SBC announced superstar DJ Alok as the headliner for the INFINITY party in Rio. However, Alok has had to step down due to personal reasons. The SBC CEO commented: “Unfortunately, Alok won’t be able to join us at SBC Summit Rio 2025 as originally planned due to personal reasons. We’re as disappointed as you are, but these things happen, and we totally understand.
“We’ve worked quickly to ensure the INFINITY Rio party still delivers the electric energy and unforgettable vibe you’re expecting. With Afrojack and Dubdogz taking the stage, we’re confident they’re the perfect replacements to make the night truly spectacular.”
SBC Summit Rio has quickly established itself as the must-attend event for Brazil and has moved to Riocentro, one of Latin America’s largest convention centres, for its 2025 edition. February’s event is projected to attract more than 15,000 attendees.
Alongside this growth, the introduction of the Super Stage will elevate the attendee experience, while the Affiliate Leaders Summit and Payment Expert Summit brands—both of which debuted in Lisbon—are set to make their Rio debut.

ACR POKER INJECTS DAILY DOSE OF THRILL INTO TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE WITH LAUNCH OF DAILY MYSTERY BOUNTY EVENTS

Monster top bounty of 10% of the total prize pool up for grabs starting this weekend
ACR Poker today announced the addition of Daily Mystery Bounty events to its tournament lineup starting this Sunday, August 3rd, delivering unmatched entertainment, thrilling action, and big wins to the tables.
Daily Mystery Bounty tournaments turn traditional bounty formats on their head. Once players are in the money, instead of receiving a fixed reward for eliminating an opponent, players receive a Mystery Bounty Chest revealing a mystery reward, with the top bounty prize being 10% of the total prize pool.
“Mystery Bounties are just pure fun,” said ACR Pro Chris Moneymaker. “You never know what you’re going to get when you knock someone out, it could be some random treasure or a monster bounty that flips your whole tournament. With same-day events, fast action and bounty madness on your daily calendar, it keeps the adrenaline going and makes every hand way more exciting.”
The Daily Mystery Bounty schedule features a range of tourneys and buy-ins, with highlights including the $250K GTD Sunday Funday ($215 buy-in), the $150K GTD Major Mash Up ($66 buy-in), and the $100K GTD Moorman’s Mayhem ($630 buy-in). Starting this Sunday, players can log into the ACR Poker client, open the Tournaments tab, and find the full lineup of Daily Mystery Bounty events in the regular schedule under upcoming events.
And don’t forget, the Mystery Bounty madness continues in ACR Poker’s massive Dual Venom tournaments taking place from Sunday, August 10th to Tuesday, August 26th. Not only are the $2,650 buy-in tourneys offering huge guarantees of $8 million in the NHL event and $2 million in the PLO event, but there are massive bounties on the table for those who knock out their competitors.
In the Venom NLH, eliminating just one opponent could earn a player the top bounty prize of $500,000. While in the Venom PLO, which ties ACR Poker’s biggest Omaha tourney ever, there’s a juicy $200,000 bounty for the taking. And that’s not all, every knockout in both tourneys earns players a minimum bounty of at least $5,000.

AGA Research Reveals Consumers Know Sweepstakes Casinos are Gambling

As gaming regulators, state Attorneys General, and state legislatures continue to scrutinize the business practices of online “sweepstakes” casinos, new research shows that consumers overwhelmingly use these platforms to gamble – and that sweepstakes operators are heavily targeting players in key states. By exploiting loopholes in the law, these operations undermine the integrity of the legal, regulated gaming marketplace.
According to Sensor Tower data compiled by the American Gaming Association (AGA), half of all online, real-money casino advertisements seen by consumers in early 2025 promoted offshore “sweepstakes” casinos. The data shows these unregulated operators concentrate their advertising in populous states.
“These operators present themselves like legal, regulated platforms – but they operate outside the law and regulation. There are few if any responsible gaming tools, no regulatory oversight, and no consumer protections. It’s a dangerous subterfuge that puts players at real risk,” said AGA Vice President of Government Relations, Tres York.
Despite operating outside the regulated gaming market, “sweepstakes” casinos are widely perceived by players as gambling platforms, with 68% of users saying their primary reason for playing is to win real money. This confusion is no accident – many of these sites mimic the look, feel, and language of legal operators, blurring the line for consumers and reinforcing the need for clearer enforcement and public education.
Key findings include:
• 90% of sweepstakes casino users consider the activity to be gambling.
• 69% describe sweepstakes casinos as places to wager real money.
• 80% of sweepstakes players spend monthly, and nearly half spend weekly, without the safety nets offered by regulated operators.
The number of monthly sweepstakes casino players is twice as high in states lacking sweepstakes prohibitions.
“Sweepstakes” casinos aggressively market on popular digital platforms throughout the country. Legal, regulated gaming operators, by contrast, advertise responsibly in legal states where consumer protections and regulatory oversight are in place.
“The data is clear. Consumers see right through the ‘sweepstakes’ casino facade and they’re calling it what it is: gambling. We look forward to policymakers continuing to enforce their laws and create clarity through new policy measures to protect their residents,” added York.

MGCB Issues Cease-and-Desist Orders to Six Illegal Gambling Sites Targeting Michigan Players

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued cease-and-desist letters to six unlicensed online gambling platforms attempting to target Michigan residents without state authorization. The action underscores the MGCB’s relentless, ongoing efforts to shut down illegal gambling operations and protect Michigan consumers from financial risk, identity theft, and unfair play.
The targeted sites—Crypto Slots, NitroBetting, NewVegas, Las Vegas USA Casino, Grand Rush Casino, and Slotgard Casino—were found to be operating in violation of Michigan laws that require licensure for internet gaming and sports betting.
“These sites were attempting to exploit Michigan players while operating outside the law. We take this seriously. When unauthorized operators offer games without regulation, Michigan players are left exposed—and we will not tolerate it,” said Henry Williams, MGCB Executive Director.
This enforcement action is part of the MGCB’s larger crackdown on illegal online gambling platforms. In recent months, the agency has issued numerous cease-and-desist letters, with additional investigations currently underway.
The MGCB continues to monitor online gaming activity and urges the public to be cautious when engaging with gambling content on social media or through digital advertisements.
