MOTORSPORT GAMING STARTUP GRIDRIVAL ADDS INDUSTRY EXPERTISE TO ADVISORY BOARD

Ahead of its Daily Fantasy Sports launch, the world’s only multi-series fantasy motorsports gaming platform brings in sports betting, venture capital and motorsport executives hailing from NASCAR, Sharp Alpha and Menlo Ventures
GridRival, the sports betting startup dedicated to motorsports, has bolstered its advisory board with top-tier executive talent from the fields of iGaming, strategic investment and motor racing.
The fastest growing fantasy league game for race fans, which is set to launch its Daily Fantasy Sports offering this summer, welcomes seasoned iGaming investor Lloyd Danzig to its advisory team. Joining Danzig is Joe Solosky, Managing Director of Sports Betting at NASCAR, plus highly experienced tech investor and Menlo Ventures partner Mark Siegel.
“We are delighted to have welcomed Lloyd, Joe and Mark to our team of advisors as we prepare to launch our daily fantasy product,” says GridRival CEO Ross Fruin. “Their collective expertise in motorsports, and respective networks within the iGaming industry, are proving invaluable as we grow and offer greater value to the ever-increasing motorsports fan community.
“Our app, which already boasts 200,000 users, makes motorsport fans’ favorite series more exciting, more engaging, and more social.
“The new additions to our advisory team will allow us to capitalize on the untapped potential of motorsports fans as we move into the real-money gaming space.”
As Managing Partner of venture capital and advisory firm Sharp Alpha Advisors—an early investor in GridRival—Lloyd Danzig has forged a reputation as a thought leader on innovation and investment in the sports betting industry.
“With interest in motorsports at an all-time high and the gaming industry placing a premium on untapped audiences, the opportunity is ripe for an authentic fantasy sports and fan engagement app built specifically for racing fans,” says Danzig. “GridRival finds itself in exactly the right position to capitalize on this inflection point.”
Joe Solosky offers over a decade of experience in sports and sports betting, having worked in executive positions at Sportradar and the New York Yankees before joining NASCAR.
“In my time at NASCAR, I have seen how much the legalization of sports betting and gamifying the race day experience has helped grow the sport and industry overall,” says Solosky.
“GridRival is a platform I have advocated for since my time at Sportradar, and in my capacity now realize its potential to be a market leader to deliver a product to an underserved audience at scale – passionate motorsports bettors worldwide.”
As a partner at one of Silicon Valley’s oldest and most reputable venture capital firms for over a quarter of a century, Mark Siegel offers a wealth of experience on building and raising capital for tech startups.
“GridRival has already done a remarkable job of growing its user base and community,” says Siegel. “With more capital, it can truly take advantage of a category that is very favorable because it is so underserved.”
The GridRival app, launched in 2021, has gained popularity with motorsport fans due to its combination of fantasy league gameplay, detailed performance data, in-depth research tools and social features. It currently offers competitions based on Formula 1 and MotoGP, and this year plans to expand to offer real-money contests across multiple race series.

Betr Kicks Off NFL Season with Revamped Betr Picks, Industry-highest 10,000x Payouts, Free $10 Play, and the Launch of Betr Arcade

Betr, a leading gaming and media business, announced a major revamp of its daily fantasy sports pick ’em product, Betr Picks, along with the official launch of Betr Arcade, just in time for the 2025 NFL season. Betr Picks is currently live in 33 U.S. states plus Washington, D.C., reaching approximately two-thirds of the U.S. population, while Arcade has initially launched in 29 states, giving millions of users access to real-money peer-to-peer skill games.
Betr Picks’ overhaul introduces a new, simplified and modern user interface, expanded sports offerings including WNBA and top global soccer leagues, significantly more projections across both new and existing sports, and its industry-first 10,000X payout multiplier. In addition, the innovative “Mystery Multiplier” feature now allows two-pick lineups, which typically return 3X, to return payouts to users of up to 1000X.
To celebrate the launch, all new users will receive $10 to play for free, no deposit required, during the first two weeks of the NFL season. Additionally, new users will also be eligible for a 50% deposit match up to $200, and all existing users will receive a deposit match for each of the first two weeks of NFL season. With over $250 million already won on Betr, these updates are designed to bring an elevated experience to both new and existing users.
The debut of Betr Arcade marks the company’s entry into the casual peer-to-peer skill gaming space, featuring four initial games: 21, Fruit Match, Crossout 21, and 5 Across with more games rolling out in the coming weeks. Games start at just $1.25 and allow players to practice before entering real-money contests against others. The launch was highlighted by co-founder Jake Paul playing one of the games, 21, in a promotional video shared on social media.
“The Betr app has never been as strong as it is today. Betr Picks is now a top tier daily fantasy sports pick ’em product despite launching just less than two years ago, and we now have Betr Arcade live in 29 states, giving our customers a new skill gaming experience. We now have two nationwide gaming products live in our single Betr app available to users in a single wallet. The innovation won’t stop here – we will be releasing additional new products over the coming months – in addition to releasing several more games within Betr Arcade and further improvements to Betr Picks. The Betr team continues to prove that it ships product with a greater level of velocity than any other company in the industry. Most importantly I am excited for the hundreds of thousands of sports fans and gamers who have already won $250M on Betr to experience an early version of this new first-of-its-kind gaming super app,” said Joey Levy, Founder and CEO of Betr.
