OneComply Completes Seed Financing Round Led by Warner Investments and Gaming Industry Experts

OneComply is thrilled to announce it has completed its seed financing round led by Warner Investments with participation from gaming industry experts including Katie Lever, Benjie Cherniak and Quintin Singleton. Specific terms of the financing were not disclosed.
The financing will enable OneComply to solidify its position as the market and technology leader in providing purpose-built licensing automation and compliance management solutions specifically designed for the $465B global gaming and sports betting market – including online and bricks and mortar operators, industry vendors, suppliers and service providers – virtually any company that undergoes licensing or compliance in order to do business in the massively expanding North America gaming market.
For decades, licensing and operational compliance has been a largely manual and highly siloed process, relying on the use of spreadsheets, Word documents, emails and file sharing repositories, along with responsibilities spread amongst various departments including legal, compliance, HR, operations and finance. These disparate technologies and siloed responsibilities makes the process extremely inefficient and worse, does not permit a unified, 360° degree view into the health of a gaming company’s most valuable asset: their license.
By providing a centralized data portal, automated workflows and visual dashboards that offer an accurate and real-time overview of an organization’s health, OneComply streamlines and improves the entire licensing and operational compliance process, delivering “One Platform for 360° Compliance Management.”
“With the growth of gaming and sports betting in the US attracting new participants as well as driving new partnerships and alliances, licensing and compliance takes on a whole new level of complexity and importance,” says Bill Warner of Warner Investments. “Managing this critical aspect of the business requires advanced, purpose-built solutions that are able to tie together all these disparate parts and break down the silos that can put a license in jeopardy.  We are proud to be part of the OneComply story, to bring 21st century intelligence, automation and oversight to an area of gaming where it’s critically needed.”
“The expansion of gaming in the US has created a highly interrelated industry, where your license can be impacted by your partner’s or vendor’s non-compliance,” says Cameron Conn, Co-Founder and CEO of OneComply. “Whether it’s key persons, licensed employees, the entity itself or the critical systems and platforms a company utilizes, they all have an ongoing compliance component that needs to be effectively managed and monitored with well defined responsibilities and accountability. OneComply has created a centralized portal to tie all these pieces together, giving our customers an easy way to manage all their licensing and compliance, plus providing a complete view of the health of their most important asset – their gaming license.”
The past 12 months has fueled incredible growth at OneComply, with a customer base marked by some of the top gaming companies in the world including online and bricks and mortar operators, vendors, suppliers, payment processors and marketing affiliates. OneComply was also recently shortlisted for three EGR North America Awards 2022: Best Product Innovation, US Rising Star and Business Advisory Partner.
OneComply –  One Platform for 360° Compliance Management
OneComply centralizes and organizes all licensing and compliance data, including key person, corporate entity and occupational licensing, enabling organizations to automate the submission process and instantly know the status of applications and regulatory requests for multiple business entities, license types and jurisdictions. Our intelligent compliance and licensing management solution also allows companies to submit license applications to multiple jurisdictions in almost the same amount of time it takes to submit to one.
OneComply’s License Control capabilities gives organizations a streamlined way to track all their employees licensing and certifications, compliance workflows, and product tracking, via one secure portal. And deadlines won’t one slip through the cracks because OneComply provides automatic email notifications, with increasing urgency, when an important compliance and licensing action needs to be taken.
OneComply allows companies to move licensing and operational compliance from a labor intensive and highly siloed administrative check-box process to an automated, integrated, actively managed, strategic asset of the company.

AGCO Removes Cap on Seller Commission for Charitable Lottery Products

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has updated several lottery policies to remove the cap on seller commission for Paper Raffles and Media Bingo, along with removing the prohibition on Catch the Ace paper lotteries, to align with other charitable lottery products.
Licensed charities may now negotiate commissions directly with sellers and determine commissions, provided they are reasonable and tied to the cost of service provided by the seller.
These updates further the AGCO’s commitment to adopt an outcomes-based regulatory approach and reduce burden for the charitable gaming sector. Local charitable organizations will have greater flexibility to make decisions that best serve their fundraising objectives.
Important Reminders
• Charities must still receive approval for other expenses incurred under their licence and retain receipts for seller commission paid.
• Licensing authorities will not require documentation to be submitted as part of the application process, however, charities are still subject to audit to determine compliance.
• Charities are reminded of their legal requirement to meet their obligations under the Criminal Code and with respect to conducting and managing a charitable gaming scheme.
• As with all licensed charitable lottery events, charities must take the necessary steps to ensure that they are conducting and managing the lottery event within Ontario.
For charitable gaming-related inquiries, email an AGCO Eligibility Officer at [email protected] or call AGCO Customer Service at 1-800-522-2876, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
