Scientific Games Earns ISO 37001 Certification, Bolstering Industry Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Standards

Company Reaffirms Its Commitment to Ethical, Transparent Operations

Scientific Games has earned the Anti-Bribery Management System certification: ISO 37001:2016, further evidencing the company’s commitment to improving the government-regulated lottery industry’s standards for integrity and reducing risk to its lottery partners. Scientific Games’ ISO 37001 certification adheres to a framework that helps companies prevent, detect and respond to bribery, as well as comply with anti-bribery laws in lottery jurisdictions where it conducts business.

“By formally implementing an anti-bribery management system, Scientific Games has strengthened our longtime commitment to mitigating risks and damage associated with bribery, helping us protect our lottery partners’ reputations and do our part to help ensure stable and fair market operations,” said Stephen Richardson, Chief Administrative & Compliance Officer for Scientific Games. “The ISO 37001 certification officially confirms that we are committed to fighting bribery and corruption, and that we conduct our business in a firmly principled and ethical way.”

Before joining Scientific Games as the Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Global Security in 2018, Richardson spent 22 years as a senior executive with the Federal Bureau of Investigation leading the Operational Technology and Criminal Investigation Divisions.

Scientific Games earned the ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System certification following an independent, multi-stage auditing process. The certification demonstrates the effectiveness of the company’s high standards of excellence through its rigorous anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance processes and policies that foster integrity, transparency and trust.

Scientific Games has also achieved international certifications for operational best practices, including Information Security Management System (ISO: 27001), Quality Management Systems (ISO: 9001), Environmental Management (ISO: 14001), Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO: 45001) and the World Lottery Association’s Responsible Gaming global certification.
