Plaza Hotel & Casino launches “Hard Hat Specials” for local construction workers

Construction projects abound downtown, workers can save and have fun at the Plaza

LAS VEGAS – Located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, the Plaza Hotel & Casino debuted numerous “Hard Hat Specials” for the local men and women working at the numerous construction projects in downtown Las Vegas and across Southern Nevada.

“Construction projects continue to flourish in downtown Las Vegas and all of Southern Nevada,” said Jonathan Jossel, CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino. “Construction workers are the backbone of our economy and are building the future of our great city, which is especially important now during these challenging economic times. We want to recognize their work with fun offers that give them a place to unwind, play and eat when their shift is over.”

Many construction projects are underway in downtown Las Vegas, including several within walking distance of the Plaza such as Circa Resort & Casino; a new exhibition center at the World Market Center; housing and commercial projects at Symphony Park; various new apartment complexes, including shareDOWNTOWN in the Arts District; and the rehabilitation of Las Vegas Boulevard, which is the city of Las Vegas’ largest public works department project ever and expected to last three years.

Work on these projects has continued, often around-the-clock, in addition to numerous projects beyond downtown, such as new sporting facilities, retail centers and housing communities.

Now through Aug. 31, local construction workers can enjoy one free Bud, Bud Light or Pacifico at the Plaza’s Omaha Bar and receive $10 free slot play by presenting their work badge to an attendant at the Plaza Rewards Players Club.

In addition, several food outlets at the Plaza will offer specials to construction workers who show their work badges, including:

  • Buy one, get one free slice of cheese pizza at Pop Up Pizza
  • Chicken Taco Lunch Combo for $4.99 with two chicken tacos, rice, beans and a fountain soda at Fresh Mexican Grill in the food court
  • 20 percent off any sandwich or wrap at the Coffee Bar
