Nevada Gaming Win Hits $1B Again in October
The Nevada Gaming Control Board has released its financial results for October 2019. October marked the second month in a row in which the state hit the US$1 billion mark in gaming win.
While in October the casinos achieved US$1.02 billion in gaming win, it represents a 3.85% decrease when compared to the same month in 2018. Clark County win declined 5.1% to US$879 million, while the Strip registered US$538.5 million but a 9.2% decrease.
“Game and table win of US$322.8 million decreased by 12.6%, US$46.5 million, compared with a 10.8% increase in October 2018. Baccarat win was impacted by decreased volume and a poor hold percentage. Baccarat win of US$56.7 million was down 25.7%, US$19.6 million,” Michael Lawton, senior research analyst for the Nevada Gaming Control Board said.
The sportsbooks in the state achieved US$543.8 million in October, presenting a 2.6% increase year-on-year. Year-to-date results indicate that sportsbook win has increased by 14.2% when compared to 2018.
