Hundreds Slated to Attend Gaming Laboratories International’s (GLI®) 19th Annual Regulators Roundtable
Annual Conference Staged March 6 & 7 at Luxor Las Vegas; VP/Director of Panasonic Hollywood Labs Ron Martin to Deliver Keynote Address
For two eventful days in March, hundreds of attendees and dozens of global gaming industry’s foremost thought-leaders will converge on Las Vegas for meaningful discussions, enlightening presentations, and intense education at Gaming Laboratories International’s (GLI®) 2019 North American Regulators Roundtable.
The annual affair is a hallmark of excellence on the industry’s calendar, and this year’s event is staged March 6-7, 2019 at Luxor Las Vegas. Registration is available now at gaminglabs.com/roundtable2019.
Vice President and Director of Panasonic Hollywood Labs (PHL) Ron Martin will deliver a keynote address on the topic, “The Idea of an Idea, Technology, and Experience Design.” Martin is considered a leading global authority on imaging systems and solutions. He brings 40 years of experience in imaging technologies that include broadcasting, production, post-production, and visual effects.
Panel discussion topics will address the most relevant issues in today’s gaming landscape and include omni-channel convergence, operational impacts, sports betting, and the top 10 technologies that now affect or will soon affect gaming.
Separate from the panel discussions, breakout workshops present attendees with intimate settings to gain first-hand knowledge on crucial topics including cybersecurity frameworks, eSports, forensic investigations, mobile in Class II gaming, modernization projects, and sports betting/event wagering.
Additionally, an Innovation Room will provide attendees with close-up looks and hands-on experiences with new and emerging technologies, systems, and games from a range of suppliers and from future industry innovators from UNLV.
The Roundtable is presented by GLI University® and is known worldwide as the largest educational and networking event of its kind for gaming and lottery industry regulators. Arizona Department of Gaming Releases October Sports Betting Figures
Bettors in Arizona wagered approximately $791 million on sports in October of 2024, according to a new report by the Arizona Department of Gaming. This represents an approximate 22% increase when compared to October of 2023.
The state collected approximately $2.35 million in privilege fees in the month.

Neosurf commissioned the research via Betting Hero – a leading US-based iGaming portal with expertise in casino, sports betting and DFS. The webinars will see Neosurf CEO Americas, Sue Page, Betting Hero’s Co-Founder and President, Jai Maw, and Senior Director of Product and Research, Ernie Ropas, dive into the report’s key findings and discuss what some of the more surprising results could mean for operators.
The survey, which featured respondents from New Jersey, Colorado and North Carolina, aimed to help operators and regulators within the gambling industry better understand the typical US bettor – how and why they bet, what tools they use to manage their budget and what Responsible Gaming means to them. The findings will be revealed in the webinars and used to identify areas where Neosurf’s products can help operators provide a better user experience.
The research highlighted several aspects of payments and responsible gaming that bettors felt could be improved. Problems with payments remain an issue – 52% of respondents said that they’d experienced payment issues in the past year, and with over 50% depositing and withdrawing multiple times each month, there is a significant cost impact to the operators.
Additionally, respondents indicated they’d be in favour of using a service that could share pre-verified ID information with operators, with ease of use for new payment methods and seamless integration across multiple platforms identified as important factors in their choosing and remaining loyal to a single sports betting platform.
