Wazdan granted supplier licence in Ontario

Wazdan granted supplier licence in Ontario

Wazdan, the leading casino games supplier, has received approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), enabling the company to supply its games to operators within the recently regulated market of Ontario, Canada.

The move marks the 20th regulated market entry for Wazdan and allows the company to partner with AGCO-approved operators, supplying its first-class content in the jurisdiction.

The iGaming market in Ontario opened up on April 4th. This concludes a process that dates back to April 2019, when Ontario’s government announced plans to end Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s monopoly on igaming, opening up the market to private operators.

Wazdan will now enjoy an even greater foothold in North America, having already secured licences in the US states of Michigan, New Jersey, and West Virginia.

The company will also be showcasing its products at July’s SBC Summit North America, taking place in New Jersey.

Michal Imiolek, CEO at Wazdan, said: “We’re hugely excited to be a part of this newly regulated igaming market. Ontario promises to be one of the biggest markets in North America and this move adds massively to our growing foothold in the region.

“We’re sure that operators throughout the province will benefit enormously from all we have to offer.”
