D-BOX Technologies and Razer combine their talents to announce the Enki Pro HyperSense concept gaming chair at the Consumer Electronics Show

The first Razer gaming chair powered by immersive D-BOX high-fidelity haptic technology
D-BOX Technologies Inc. (D-BOX) (TSX: DBO), a world leader in immersive and realistic haptic experiences, is partnering with Razer™ (Razer), the world’s leading lifestyle brand for gamers, to design the first concept Razer gaming chair featuring D-BOX’s high-fidelity haptic technology. The prototype project showcased in Las Vegas creates immersive touch-sensory feedback for lifelike sensations based on cues from games and a variety of fully integrated entertainment mediums.
This concept product showcases direct haptic feedback from passive and interactive content ranging from games to streaming libraries featuring over 2,000 movies and TV series. The chair can be seen in the Razer booth #15076 in the Central Hall at the Consumer Electronics Show until January 8, 2022.
According to Newzoo, 2021’s global games market will generate revenues of $175.8 billion, on track to Surpass $200 Billion by 2023. By the end of the year, there will be 2.9 billion players worldwide. This market now earns more revenue than the film and music industries combined because of the rising popularity of video games in all corners of the globe and among all age groups. Players are spending more and more time gaming, and regard for its social and entertainment values are growing apace.

Global Esports Federation confirms program for Los Angeles 2026 Global Esports Games

The Global Esports Federation at its 16th Board Meeting approved the draft program for the Los Angeles 2026 Global Esports Games, to be held in December 2026. This follows the earlier announcement of Los Angeles as host city at a major ceremony hosted by Los Angeles Times Media Group Executive Chairman & CEO Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and El Segundo Mayor Chris Pimentel—now marking a significant milestone on the road to GEF’s flagship event in the United States.
The GEF Board also unanimously elected Paul J. Foster as President of the Global Esports Federation. Paul, who is GEF Chief Executive Officer, was appointed President ad interim following the resignation of founding President Chris Chan in July, and now assumes the role of President & CEO through December 2027.
In addition, the GEF Board approved the establishment of frameworks to develop the esports ecosystem in the United States, anchored in Los Angeles. This initiative will strengthen the GEF’s connections with stakeholders worldwide and reinforce its mission to elevate esports for all.
The outcomes of GEF 16th Board Meeting reaffirm the GEF’s role as a convening platform, uniting athletes, publishers, Member Federations, and partners to power the future of esports globally.
