NGCB Reports Flat Results for Casino Winnings in March
The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has reported flat results for casino winnings during March. It is the first time since March 2004 that sports betting exceeded the baccarat volume.
However, the industry managed to reach the US$1 billion mark during last month’s operations. March 2019 was also the best performance of this year for Nevada.
The Las Vegas Strip experienced a 3.8% decrease in win to US$551.9 million, while Clark County win was down 0.61% to US$882.8 million. March Madness and the end of the National Basketball Association (NBA) season helped Nevada’s sportsbook to generate a record US$495.1 million in basketball bets.
