Kindbridge Behavioral Health Wins the 2025 American Gambling Awards Responsible Gaming Award
The American Gambling Awards announced that Kindbridge Behavioral Health (KBH), a pioneering mental health service provider dedicated to supporting individuals facing challenges related to problem gaming, has been recognized with the prestigious Responsible Gaming Award for 2025. This accolade highlights KBH’s ongoing commitment to player protection, education, and the promotion of safe gambling practices across the U.S. market.
The American Gambling Awards, produced by Gambling.com Group Limited, honor the top companies and executives shaping the regulated U.S. online gambling landscape and are recognized as a benchmark for excellence in the sector.
“Receiving the Responsible Gaming Award is a tremendous honor for our team at Kindbridge Behavioral Health. Yet our mission is far from complete – we’re energized to keep driving transformation across the iGaming sector, serving as a catalyst for positive change by expanding access to evidence-based support, fostering industry collaborations, and prioritizing player well-being nationwide,” said Daniel Umfleet, CEO of Kindbridge Group.
Kindbridge Behavioral Health has advanced responsible gaming through multiple key initiatives. These include launching state-specific online resource portals offering localized helplines, statistics, and virtual therapy access; expanding collaborations with operators such as MGM/BetMGM and PrizePicks to enhance research, provide free clinical services, and block at-risk play; and supporting the Responsible Gaming Association of America (ROGA)’s “Know Your Play” college campaign to educate young adults on financial literacy and gambling risks. KBH also actively participated in the Global Forum on Responsible Gaming and Gambling Policy – part of the G7 Canada Brain Economy Summit – in June 2025 to foster dialogue on problem gambling policies, and formed the Military Gambling Awareness Committee to support veterans and active service members.
“Responsible gaming is essential to a sustainable and trusted gambling industry. Kindbridge Behavioral Health has demonstrated leadership through evidence-based treatment, educational outreach, and strategic industry partnerships. Their work not only strengthens protections for players but also advances responsible gaming standards across the entire U.S. market,” said Charles Gillespie, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Gambling.com Group.
Additionally, Kindbridge Behavioral Health’s evidence-based treatment programs are driving measurable impact. Their quarterly Gambling Disorder Treatment Outcomes Reports demonstrate that a 12-session intervention can significantly reduce problematic gambling behaviors. Through ongoing research, outreach, education campaigns, and operator partnerships, they set a new benchmark for responsible gaming practices and player safety across the industry.
