Hawks Talon GC Defeats Pacers Gaming for Third Consecutive Win of Season
KEL (Mykel Wilson) and BP (Michael Diaz-Cruz) Contribute with 108 Total Points in Victory Over Pacers Gaming
In front of an international viewing audience, Hawks Talon Gaming Club, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, defeated Pacers Gaming, the official affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, in the first two games as part of a best-of-three series. As a result, Hawks Talon earned their third consecutive victory of the 2020 NBA 2K League regular season. The results of each game were 57-55 and 86-65. As a result, Hawks Talon moves into sole possession of second place in the official NBA 2K League Standings.
“Both KEL and BP are developing better chemistry together as displayed in tonight’s matchup versus Pacers Gaming,” Hawks Talon GC’s Team Manager and Head Coach Wesley Acuff said. “While we are excited by our recent performances, we are now focused on our only game next week against the undefeated Raptors Uprising GC.”
In the first game, Atlanta’s own KEL (Mykel Wilson) led the team with 25 points and two assists. As a result, the team is now 4-0 when KEL has at least 20 points in a game. Hawks Talon’s BP (Michael Diaz-Cruz) finished with 22 points, seven assists and two rebounds. LEE (Lee Lamb) contributed with ten points and a new career-high 20 rebounds. Rounding out the group was MRSTYLEZ (Andrew Valle) who finished with four steals and two assists, and FOLLOWTHEGOD (Kwan Larry Niblack Jr.) who contributed with two assists and two steals.
In the second game, Hawks Talon’s BP scored a team-high 34 points and tied his season-high 11 assists. This mark’s BP’s second double-double of the season. KEL tallied 27 points and two steals. LEE contributed with eight points and 11 rebounds, extending his streak to nine games with at least 10 rebounds. FOLLOWTHEGOD added 12 points, two rebounds, two assists, while MRSTLYEZ added five points and totaled seven rebounds and two steals.
The second-place ranked Hawks Talon (3-1) will continue its regular season competition as part of six weeks of remote gameplay. The club’s next match will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 21 against the undefeated Raptors Uprising GC, the official affiliate of the Toronto Raptors.

Enthusiast Gaming Holdings announced that it has teamed up with Frigo Cheese Heads, the string cheese brand owned by Saputo for sponsored activations including a media sponsorship of NFL Tuesday Night Gaming’s (NFL TNG) Season 3 debut episode.
Frigo Cheese Heads sponsored the ‘Chomp or Peel’ segment of the debut episode of the popular gaming series in which talent was put on teams based on whether they “Chomp” or “Peel” their string cheese.
