Light & Wonder Enters into Distribution Agreement with ReelPlay Delivering Games to BCLC for the First Time

Hypernova Megaways the first of a number of scheduled ReelPlay deployments to BCLC
Light & Wonder Incorporated (NASDAQ: LNW) has agreed to a new deal with ReelPlay to deliver its games to British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) for the first time.
ReelPlay’s global smash Hypernova Megaways is the first game launched and will be followed by more content as the agreement expands into new regulated markets.
ReelPlay debuted Hypernova Megaways in Europe in 2018 and added to the franchise with successful follow-ups Atlantis Megaways and Big Bucks Bandit Megaways. With slot games widely licensed across regulated operators globally, ReelPlay has since launched its Infinity Reels series of games and, most recently, 10K Ways, which debuted with the hit 10,000 Wonders 10K Ways.
The deployment extension into BCLC demonstrates Light & Wonder Incorporated’s support of independent studios such as ReelPlay.
“Having worked closely with ReelPlay for many years, we fully expect their extended distribution into BCLC to be a success for all parties and look forward to future ReelPlay releases across our network,” Digital Partnerships Director for Light & Wonder Incorporated, Steve Mayes, said.
“Hypernova Megaways is one of the top-performing slot games across the regulated North American markets,” Chief Executive Officer for ReelPlay, David Johnson, said. “Proudly first to market with innovative and inspirational concepts, ReelPlay is very excited to see the game arrive in another regulated market via our partners at Light & Wonder Incorporated and expect the tri-party relationship to really flourish after this debut release.”
The OpenGaming ecosystem delivers more than 3,500 games from a global network of in-house and third-party game studios with unrivalled ease of integration that is robust and secure. All games available through OpenGaming are supported with a comprehensive range of responsible gambling tools, helping to deliver a safe and enjoyable gaming experience for players.

AGCO Removes Cap on Seller Commission for Charitable Lottery Products

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has updated several lottery policies to remove the cap on seller commission for Paper Raffles and Media Bingo, along with removing the prohibition on Catch the Ace paper lotteries, to align with other charitable lottery products.
Licensed charities may now negotiate commissions directly with sellers and determine commissions, provided they are reasonable and tied to the cost of service provided by the seller.
These updates further the AGCO’s commitment to adopt an outcomes-based regulatory approach and reduce burden for the charitable gaming sector. Local charitable organizations will have greater flexibility to make decisions that best serve their fundraising objectives.
Important Reminders
• Charities must still receive approval for other expenses incurred under their licence and retain receipts for seller commission paid.
• Licensing authorities will not require documentation to be submitted as part of the application process, however, charities are still subject to audit to determine compliance.
• Charities are reminded of their legal requirement to meet their obligations under the Criminal Code and with respect to conducting and managing a charitable gaming scheme.
• As with all licensed charitable lottery events, charities must take the necessary steps to ensure that they are conducting and managing the lottery event within Ontario.
For charitable gaming-related inquiries, email an AGCO Eligibility Officer at [email protected] or call AGCO Customer Service at 1-800-522-2876, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
