WynnBET Appoints Ian Williams as its Chief Operating Officer

Wynn Resorts’ online sports betting and iGaming brand WynnBET has appointed gaming industry veteran Ian Williams as its new Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Williams will oversee WynnBET’s trading, marketing, customer service, payments, and data science teams and report directly to Wynn Interactive CEO Craig Billings.

Williams most recently served as President of Online Gaming for Churchill Downs Inc. and spent the last five years of his career contributing to the development of Churchill Downs Interactive division into one of the most profitable online wagering business in the US. During his tenure, Williams helped grow Churchill Downs’ horse racing advance-deposit wagering business (Twinspires.com & Betamerica.com), profitably delivering record handle in every year of his tenure. Williams was also responsible for spearheading the development of Churchill Downs real money sports and iGaming businesses, and since 2018 has been responsible for securing market access in nine states.

A graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University, Williams has 17 years of experience as a C-level executive in the United States, with stops in Canada and the United Kingdom. He also founded Thistle Gaming, a company distributing real-time sports data feeds and virtual racing to the leading bookmakers in Europe and Asia.
