The International Esports Federation (IESF) has entered into a partnership with live event production company White Lite LLC to host more Esports tournaments in the Latin American (LATAM) region.

“We are very grateful for the opportunities this new partnership with White Lite will create for Esports athletes, officials and fans in the LATAM region. IESF will invest more resources towards developing Esports in the region as part of IESF’s commitment to unifying and strengthening the World Esports family and supporting our 106 Member Federations,” Boban Totovski, Secretary-General of IESF, said.

As a part of the deal, IESF and White Lite will collaborate in staging an IESF LATAM Open Esports Championship. The Championship aims to make Esports mainstream by offering the world Esports community an opportunity to experience and gain access to world-class Esports tournaments.

“White Lite is extremely excited and committed to delivering a major Esports event for the LATAM region through our partnership with IESF. At White Lite, we are passionate about the events business and collaborating with IESF’s expertise and fast growing network of Member Federations. I see this as a win-win for the Esports ecosystem in the LATAM region. Our ultimate endeavour is to support LATAM athletes by offering them the highest quality of Esports events,” Javier Goicoechea, Manager of White Lite LLC, said.

Beginning in 2022, the LATAM Esports family will benefit from more than five Latin American Esports Championships. All passionate Esports athletes who reside in the LATAM region will be provided an opportunity to register and compete in the events.

The pre-qualifications for the Championship finals will be hosted online, and the finals comprising of the top 10 players from each country will be staged in-person at the finals in a pre-selected host country.

“As the IESF family continues to grow, we’re thrilled to see more Esports athletes recognize the tremendous benefits that come with professional Esports competitions. This partnership with White Lite is another step in IESF’s journey to develop gaming worldwide and provides the ultimate environment for athletes to perform at their best,” Ido Brosh, Board Member and Director of Global Programs at the IESF, said.
