Colombian gambling regulator Coljuegos has published the live casino regulations.
These regulations allow the country’s licensed gambling operators to offer live casino games from casinos or studios located within Colombia or overseas, subject to the certification of games by an approved testing house.
Coljuegos said that live casino will complement the existing regulated offering and serve to drive visitation to land-based casinos, while also helping to combat unlicensed operators who are already targeting Colombian players with live casino games.
It also noted the benefit of internet-based live casino games during the COVID-19 pandemic, both in terms of social distancing and funding for Colombian health care.
