Police Crack Down Illegal Gambling Sites in Riviera Beach

 

Riviera Beach Police have cracked down illegal gambling sites in the Riviera Beach as part of a special operations initiative.

Riviera Beach Police have received numerous complaints about several convenience stores that served as sites for illegal gambling. Police said that the stores in question had arcade style “slot machine” video games that allowed for gambling.

A two-month investigation led to investigators narrowing down on seven convenience stores from more investigation which yielded seven search warrants and numerous arrest warrants. Police also found that other crimes such as illegal drug sale and use, drinking in public and loitering also occurred at the sites, negatively impacting surrounding neighborhoods.
