Veteran Nevada Bookmaker CG Technology, L.P. Announces Expansion Into New Jersey Market With New Meadowlands Racetrack LLC Partnership
Retail sportsbook operator known for its large presence on the Las Vegas Strip will operate online and mobile platforms in the Northeast’s biggest market.
Fresh off a robust pro football championship betting weekend, CG Technology, L.P. (“CG Technology”) and New Meadowlands Racetrack LLC (“Meadowlands Racetrack”) announced today that CG Technology – through its affiliate CG Technology NJ, LLC (“CGT”) – will offer online and mobile sports betting in New Jersey in a partnership with Meadowlands Racetrack starting in 2019.
While the deal is subject to approval by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, CG Technology hopes to go live in time for the start of the next football season in the fall.
“We are delighted to enter the New Jersey market and bring forth our decade-plus of experience catering to customers in the country’s biggest gambling market,” said Parikshat Khanna, CEO of CG Technology. “As an early mover in the Nevada sports wagering business, we always envisioned national expansion that would give American consumers more product options.”
CG Technology will join a crop of retail and online sportsbook operators in the Garden State as New Jersey has rapidly embraced sports betting since legalization last year.
“We are excited to announce this partnership with CG Technology,” said Jeff Gural, Chairman and CEO of New Meadowlands Racetrack LLC. “We are confident CGT, with its years of experience, will bring some new and inventive offerings that will appeal to the New Jersey online and mobile sports wagering market.”
CG Technology has contributed to the development of the Nevada sports betting industry. It was one of the first operators to invest in the build-out of large, amenity-laden sportsbooks inside top resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. Today, it operates eight sportsbooks at seven resorts in Nevada and offers account-based wagering through its CG Sportsbook app.
About CG Technology Sportsbooks:
CG Technology is one of the largest licensed bookmakers in Nevada and operator of eight Nevada sportsbooks at seven prime Las Vegas resorts, many of them on the world-famous Strip and all within easy reach of the city’s 43 million annual visitors.
CG Technology’s Sportsbooks are known for their high-definition screens, comfortable seating, and designs unique to each host resort. Their Las Vegas sportsbooks range from luxury destinations such as The Venetian, The Palazzo, and The Cosmopolitan to iconic classics like Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Tropicana to locals’ favorites Silverton Casino, M Resort, and Palms Casino Resort.
